Method
Funded records prop-firm rules the way a printer keeps an exposure record: every value in a ruled box, with where it came from and how much it can be trusted. Nothing is resolved silently.
Where rules come from
| 1 | Firm website | Rules and prices on the firm's own site. |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Official help center | The firm's support articles. Most rules come from here. |
| 3–4 | Official terms and announcements | Terms of service, rule-change posts. |
| 5 | Official community posts | Public announcements in the firm's own channels. |
| 6–7 | Community and reviews | Reddit, Trustpilot. Used for payout and support reputation, never for rule values. |
| 8 | Secondary sites | Comparison and review sites. Never shown when an official source exists. |
A daily job fetches each official page on an allowlist, respects robots.txt, and compares it to the last copy. A change becomes a proposed edit with the exact quote from the page. A person approves it before it appears here, and the old value is kept in the change history. Full page copies are kept privately for comparison; only values, short quotes and links are published.
How trust is drawn
- Verified
- Checked against the firm's own page by a person, with the quote on file, within 60 days.
- Sourced, not re-verified
- Taken from a sourced catalog (propfirm-calc, MIT) that cites the official page, or an official page older than 60 days.
- Conflict
- Two official sources disagree. Both are shown; neither is picked for you.
- Your profile
- Magenta marks only one thing: a rule that conflicts with how you trade.
- Not simulated
- Recorded but outside what the engine models. Listed on every account.
Unverified facts are never published.
How accounts are simulated
Each account's rules are compiled into a specification for prop-firm-sim (LuxAlgo, MIT), a Monte Carlo engine that models end-of-day and intraday trailing drawdown, locks, daily loss limits, consistency rules and funded payout gates exactly. 2,000 paths per account, fixed seed, so the same inputs always give the same numbers. If a rule needed for the simulation is missing, the account is not simulated rather than guessed. A daily loss limit that only pauses the day is not modeled as a failure. Equity is observed at trade close, so intra-trade excursions are not modeled.
How the fit score works
| 30 | survivability | Chance of passing and reaching a first payout, plus drawdown type: end-of-day scores above intraday. |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | payout efficiency | Net expected value after every fee, ranked against the other accounts. Unverified prices score neutral. |
| 15 | rule fit | Rule-by-rule conflicts with your profile: consistency versus your big day, winning-day minimums, contract caps. |
| 10 | simplicity | Fewer payout gates (consistency, buffers, caps, minimums) score higher. |
| 10 | reliability | Payout track record from curated community reports. Neutral for every firm until that data is in. |
| 10 | scale | Account limits and copy-trading policy. Neutral until verified. |
Money
Some links to firms may be affiliate links, and are labeled where they appear. The scoring code has no access to affiliate data at all: its only inputs are rule facts, simulation results and your profile. This is enforced in the code and covered by a test. Nothing here is financial advice. Funded accounts at most firms are simulated accounts. Confirm every rule on the firm's own page before you buy.
